Image of the sport.

Ok for the past several years paintball has been trying to get the image of being milita training out of the sport. And now almost all major manufactures are making markers that look more and more like assault weapons. does this make any sense to anyone. I was thinking about this the other day and now I think in order to keep the bad image down keep the design of the markers but give them paint jobs brite and colorfull not the black or camo color of military weapons. I'm working not on making my victor into a tacticle weapon with a shoulder stock. But I'm going to keep it silver and blue I'll post picks when I'm done.
If your a good player it should not make a difference in you play to not have a gun that stands out in the woods. Even the all black marker now still stands out trust me X-treme's marker gave away his possition to me last year I could not see him but could see his marker.

u saw only my barrel and it took u about 50 to 60 rounds to hit me

as for the look of markers now adays, i agree to a point. really it comes down to the player preferance. really paintball is getting pretty big and well known. i was messing around with my a5 one day when the shwans man came and it didnt even phase him, he just said "u going out to play paintball?" when it comes to most of the tactical looking guns, any informed person would be able to tell of what it really is. knowledge is the key to safety and its been that way with firearms ever since their invention. actualy i would be more concerned about airsoft guns cause some are almost idenical to the real thing.

also tactical guns are getting more popular because simply senario games are getting more popular. its much more impressive to see a team with moded out a5's or 98's then it is to see the britely shined markers. and get this with more of these kind of markers coming into the market, it is less likely that ones like mine will stand out. as i said before, people can target me all they want cause that will just give me more practice under fire (meaning ill get better) and it will help my team mates if the other teams is having to use up one or two guys to take me out. (you should try sacrificing yourself once for the benifit of your team, josh)

dont forget we have other tactical markers on our team, theres the m98 and the t9 now. and if anyone brings a a5, a bt marker, or a pcs those are tactical even if they are stock.

OH AND JOSH THIS IS HOW I SPELL MY NAME Arrow XTREME

that is how i want it to be on this site

It's not the informed people we have to worry about.

It's the uninformed people that bring a bad apect to the point its the same reason they changed it from paintball gun to paintball marker after 9/11.
It's still a problem for the sport.

sorry

sorry

It was not officially changed untill 9/11

Many manufactures still used gun insted of marker before 9/11 it was changed accross the board in the aftermath of 9/11. When I started playing in the early 90's they were still paintball guns not markers.
