storm members and anyone else, please answer this question. i know there are many senario guns out there now but because these are the cheapest and most easy to find just stick with these two.

which gun do u consider to be better? tippmann a5 or spyder.

why?

this is just to see what people prefer.

Tippmann had a goog thing going with SMG 68 and then the pro-carbine series and the 98 series. a5 great concept but with major flaws. It is extreamly hard to keep it shooting at a constant air pressure teams have lost woods ball tourniment do to that vary problem. If your going to buy a scenario marker just for the sake of looks get a T9 or an Spyder MR series. Even an tactical Ion will cost you far less and out perform the a5 anyday of the week. And in the end will not cost you and your team valuble points if your in a scenario match. And if its the warp feed that catches your eye the make it for the model 98 and custom 98 which it a much more reliable marker than the a5. The new x7 is also a better than the a5 due to the fact that tippman is trying to fix the problems that the a5 has. Oh and lets not forget the JT Tac5 also vary reliable and comprable to the 98 but far less money aqnd faster cycling rate.
Bottom line tippmanns = More Work and More Money Spyders = all around good marker much faster rate of fire and a lot less money.
So if you like to pimp out a gun go for the a5 if you have money to waist just to turn a few heads on the field. In the end all your doing is making yourself a target.

u do have some good points. i do have problems with my a5 keeping its velocity. but in the 3 1/2 years that i have owned my a5 i have only broken two balls in my barrel where as my spyder every time i use it i break one or two. and as for rate of fire the a5 does have a down fall but it senario games rate of fire means jack. most touraments dont allow higher rates of fire. also the e grip can go up 25 bps and the cyclone feed can keep up with the upgrade. plus the upgrades r much better for the a5 and easyer to find then the spyders. the a5 is fairly easy to work on but the upgrades u put on the harder it gets.

And you say they are easy to work on? Ok another problem with tippmanns most of the aftermarket parts are just for added looks. It's kinda like pimping out an old care looks good performs like crap.

the power tube is something i dont want to screw up on.
let me ask u this. besides the internet, is it rreally easy to find replacement parts or upgrades for your spyder? can u go to a basic retail store to find them? majority of the time u would have to go to a pro shop to get them. meaning u would have to pay more money. and t9s and ions are pretty much the same way.
i pretty much added up how much i spent on my a5 and it only comes out around $400 and that is the excactly the way i want my gun set up.
i just went paintballing yesterday and i wasnt any more of a target then any of the others guys that brought their own gun.
t9's, spyder mr's, ion's, sp8's, and tac 5's dont have enough visual upgrades as tippmanns. so if i wanted to change the stock on an mr 2 i couldnt but on my a5 i could go from no stock to a collapable one to a folding. i can change the fore grip or use a magizine. all because they are easier to find. lets see you do that to a spyder with out spending that kind of money. (and josh i dont want to see u try to do it with your spyders. they would have to be black for it to look the best.)
and now its time for me to give u some grief. josh u use a spyder victor with a rocking trigger. thats it for upgrades besides the barrels and the smoke stack. wheres the acs bolt? or how about the regulator? how about a high flow valve? all these things will increase the performance of your gun. that that it matters u shouldnt be shooting 30 bps anyways. that to me means excesive shooting even before the person your shooting at even says hit. josh u are better then that u will do just as good with a slow shooting gun cause u are a good player. all you are doing is showing off how fast you can shoot and ticking other players off purposely.

josh u have seen my a5 in action. if u think it performs like crap there is something wrong with you. come to think of it i have had less problems with it then u have with your spyders. the only thing is that velocity. to help it i just chrono it every game or put in one of the uprades. i like it sometimes cause even though my gun may look intimadating, its still basiclly a stock a5 and that means most people now that i have that problem so i might be shooting hot. then they either target me (which will give me more practice in what to do in those kind of situations) or try to aviod me (which will help my hunting skills).

I have had several com[plants specifically about you and your marker.
I like your a5 it gives your possition away. remember last year all I could see was your dang marker sticking out. Oh and Sports authority and dicks and several other major retailers carry the spyder parts. And Jt parts. But Sports authority no longer carries tippman.

To date I have neaver chopped a ball in the victor. Neither has been its the same marker he used the first river run. 5 years without a chopped ball. You cant even say that about your a5. And visual upgrades are a waist. Great if you live with your parents and don't have anything better to spend money on. But the marker is still the same it looks a little better.

whos complaining about my a5. if its about it shooting hot, theres not much i can do about that when there is not a decent chrono so pretty much anyone of us could be shooting hot and u know that.
for your info i have never chopped a ball in my a5, when i broke the two balls in the barrel last year both of them were because steve put a paintball down the end of my barrel. and u didnt have your rocking trigger 5 years ago i believe u first used that last year. u may no think u need a acs bolt but the day will come when u will chop a ball and wish u had it.
do you honestly think that your victor doesnt give u away when u start walking that trigger?
and it really doesnt matter that i live with my parents. we would still be having this discussion now wouldnt we.

The spyder Victor I have been using off and on for five years I used it first in the first river run well actually Ben used it then you just neaver noticed it befotre I put the rocking trigger on it and I still have the lightning mod trigger that I used during stargate. And that was not an intended slam against you I'm basically encouruiging young players if they want to mod a gun do it while you can. ANd the Mr Marker were designed so they did not have to be modded at all. Unless you want to change the barrel. There is only one down side to the mr2 and mr3 the fact that they do not take standard spyder threads. This is bad because most barrels can be found in the Spyder threads more than any other threads. This is a high point with the tac5. Ok I have owned 2 tippmans hated both. It's personal preference I like spyders and there clones far more than tippman and other sheridon/pmi ripoffs. The still use the same internals as they did way back in the day. Ohh than again I still like the Brass Eagle stingray as far as assesibility for parts anything you need to fix it cbe found at your local hardware store. And most people hate that marker.
